Mumbai News Live Updates, July 6, 2024: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar urged the Centre to not impose a ban on onion exports at the Mahayuti meet on Saturday. He said that the decision had generated discontent amongst farmers, for which the alliance “paid a heavy price in the Lok Sabha polls”.

The Mahayuti alliance comprises Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena. Pawar further called for greater coordination between the three parties, saying they must work together to oppose the Opposition’s “fake” narrative on the recently-presented state budget. The ruling Mahayuti alliance held a meeting at 5 pm on Saturday in Mumbai

Weather update today: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is likely to witness generally cloudy skies and moderate rainfall today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
